Isolation and identification of cell hypertrophy-inducing substances in the gall-forming aphid Colopha moriokaensis.

چکیده
The insect galls on the leaves of Zelkova serrata were formed by the aphid Colopha moriokaensis. The crude extracts of the gall-forming aphid showed hypertrophy-inducing activity against the cultured cells of Z. serrata. Bioassay-guided fractionation of the extracts led to isolation of three triacylglycerides containing (E,E, E)-octa-2,4,6-trienoic acid.
